seed project training
We equip the Church to demonstrate the gospel and relationally love the poor
There is a gap between the rich and the poor. It's about more than money and economics. It's a cultural divide that is difficult to cross.
As the Church of Christ, we desire that everyone in Thailand have the opportunity to know and experience the love of God. This includes those who live in poor communities. But how will they know if we do not cross the divide to show them what love and grace is all about?
Seeds of Hope is a 20 hour experience in the slums of Bangkok designed to train Thai Churches to cross that divide and build relationships with the poor. It is a hands-on training in which staff from Friends of the City not only teach you how to do this, but also walk into low-income communities with you and guide you through it. You will learn about a community, you will help them discover their strengths, you will build relationship with leaders and families, and you will learn more about God and yourself. The end product is a small activity that blesses a community and becomes a seed that can grow to become a fruitful ministry for the Kingdom of God.
Let real life experience become your classroom as you follow Christ's commandment to "love your neighbor as yourself."
